Breaking The Millenial Mold

We have all heard the theories about what makes up a millennial, but you know that you want to prove them all wrong.  Starting out in the world of personal responsibility can seem like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be.  Taking the steps now to make sure you are covered in the long run can save you a ton of money.

Let’s start with car insurance – did you know that things such as residency and ownership of vehicle help to determine coverage?  Therefore, if the car you drive is owned and insured by your parents, and you don’t live with them, you could be at risk of driving illegally.  If you are in an accident and need to make a claim your coverage could be challenged based on the number of days you have lived at your parents’ home in the last 6 months/year period.  Your own personal insurance policy vs. possibly zero coverage = a big difference.

Next up is a renter’s policy, which is actually, extremely affordable.  If you have pets you can be covered for damages if your pet harms someone.  In the case of a fire or extreme disaster the Red Cross and similar organizations can certainly help, but a renter’s policy is there to put you back the way you started before disaster struck.  This type of policy can even cover a place for you to stay so you don’t have to move back in with mom and dad.

Finally, life insurance.  You may not think you can fit it in your budget now but now is when it is most affordable.  When you are young and healthy is when you will get the absolute best premiums to lock into.  Think of it as an investment in yourself and protection for your future.

We know you are on the go and constantly plugged in, so many of our policies can be discussed and finalized via email and phone conversations.  If you or your family members want expert advice on investing in YOU I am the superwoman discount finder you can rely on!
