Hello, have we had the chance to meet yet? I know I have met many of you, as I have been with Martin & Martin for over four years!  I am Rhonda Kowalski and this month I am taking over the blog so I can talk to you about how I can help you, and specifically, the fabulous topic of OCCUPATIONAL DISCOUNTS!!   Quick bio on me – I have lived and worked in the Oregon community for 15+ years and I truly enjoy all aspects of my job as an insurance agent.  My husband Matthew and I live on a 1 acre “orchard” with our son, Sawyer.  Also at home are our two dogs, a two year old Beagle named Skipper and our 18 week old Chocolate Lab puppy named MacIntosh “Mac”.  Our lives are immersed in Oregon on the Bay and we love the easy pace of this area, while still being within 10 minutes of Kroger!

When I meet or talk to you for the first time as a potential client my goal is to ensure that you are getting adequate coverage based on your needs and circumstances.  There is no template or model for sufficient coverage and each and every policy should be customized individually.  Recently, I was able to quote a policy for a friend of mine who protects our friends/neighbors in Northwest Ohio as a Toledo Police Officer.  After realizing that his girlfriend was also a nurse at St. Vincent’s I was able to deliver them a policy that stacked both educational and occupational discounts on top of each other.  These decreases wound up saving them over half the original premium on Homeowners and Auto Insurance!  Your education and occupation are valued and appreciated by the insurance carriers that Martin & Martin partners with, and I am so excited to help you save money, while delivering the protection you need.

Another great reason to have me assist with your insurance coverage is that often I find that customers are dangerously underinsured, or never fully understood what their policy covered in the first place.  Wind, flooding or even break ins could be big surprises when it comes to what is covered and what is not.  I take the time to explain how added coverages can benefit you and most of the time customers realize just how UNDERinsured they really were.  While I am able to put the proper coverages in place, everyone is thankful that they did not have a loss while they were underinsured.

My role at the Martin & Martin Insurance Agency could not be a better fit for me – to be able to see first-hand how I can help my neighbors and friends, while delivering a service that they need, means that my job fulfills my passion to help others.  If you, or someone you know, would like to chat about insurance please do not hesitate to talk with me – even if it is in line for coffee, or while I am out walking my dogs in one of the amazing local parks!  I enjoy serving the community and cannot wait to help cover you the best way I can!
