Red is quite the statement color – it is a confidence booster and can help anyone stand out in a crowd. When I think of February the color red immediately comes to mind because it is a month of love and hearts everywhere you look. February then is the perfect month to be designated as American Heart Month, raising awareness of heart disease and how it affects men and women. According to the American Heart Association 1 in 4 deaths are caused by heart disease.
We all strive to better ourselves through diet and exercise to keep our hearts healthy, but sometimes it’s not enough. What about protecting our loved ones from the devastation of an unfortunate diagnosis? With numbers as staggering as 25% of deaths attributed to heart disease it’s time to start thinking about safeguarding your future. Women often run the household and day to day operations of the family so think about what that means if they are no longer there – child care, maintaining an efficient home and creating family meals alone can overwhelm a newly single person. What about if the primary income suddenly vanishes – mortgage and bills don’t go away. Saving for college may become a thing of the past.
For me life insurance is an expression of love, it is not required insurance, but is an act of love to those that you could one day leave behind. It can pay off your house, pay for childcare or even in-home help and college funds can be set up for future use. I can’t imagine raising a family without my sweet husband by my side, but to go through grief AND financial insecurity would be unimaginable.
So, if you have been avoiding this gift of love and need my help, I am here for you. I even have the ability to do the application over the phone with an e-signature as acceptance of a policy. On February 2nd our office will be participating in the “Go Red for Heart Disease” movement by wearing red to raise awareness and as a reminder that you can have the confidence to provide that act of love for your family through life insurance
